NW-HEAT Summer Summit – July 15, 2009
Come join in the discussion at Lewis and Clark College! The discussion ideas are beginning to take form, but there is plenty of opportunity to add your own ideas to the mix.
For those of you who know NW-HEAT from years past, you will note many similarities from before our break. For folks that are new, the format is casual. We meet, we talk, and we share ideas. We analyze the things we did well, and we pick apart the things that may not have worked out.
We won't have any formal presentations, but there will be moderated discussions, notes taken, and results shared at the end of the day. So far, things look like they are breaking down along 2 tracks, with 3 sessions shaping up.
Schedule
Track 1: Helpdesk, Service Model, and End User Support
- How has the service model changed over the last few years?
- How will we see it change over the next few years?
- 24/7 support: How will we do it with a 9-5 staff?
Track 2: Collaboration within NW-HEAT Schools
- Job sharing or shadowing?
- License servers – we've all got 'em, what'll we do with 'em?
- Social networking – new opportunities?
Due to popular demand - a 3rd technical track has been added. Topics to be announced Wednesday morning!
Lunch is no host, and a list of nearby restaurants will be forthcoming.
Places to Stay: A list of places for overnight lodging for those coming from out of town
