Session on Network Tools

A lot of talk in the networking session sloshed around network monitoring and management tools. One area was a collabloration, two was a list of better and best freeware and shareware items (Plus OpenView and the like).

1. We talked about collectively purchasing something like a nice DG Sniffer and then sharing it among participants in the purchase. How might we do this and who would be interested? It'd save us all a chunk of change if we could do it right.
2. Tools we discussed. Could we get a list going here and some URLs? SPONG, Big Brother, Campusnet, ....?
